2010 was Portugals best tourism year ever, with better to come?

Tourism Revenue for Portugal grew by 10% according to the Bank of Portugal (BdP), revenue was a total of €7.6 billion. UK and France were the biggest contribution, other growth areas included Angola and Brazil.

2011 already looks set to continue the growth trend, according to the ANA in January Algarve Traffic grew by 5.9% 153,453 people passed through, in Lisbon Traffic grew by 6.1% with 970,419 travellers, including all the regions the national growth was 8.6%, and with Jet2.com anouncing flights between Faro and 7 UK destinations, Blackpool, East Midlands, Edinurgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle and fares starting from €38.49, the outlook is looking positive in 2011 for our investors with holiday property in Portugal.
